Montana

Do I need to show identification at the polls? You must provide one of the following forms of ID when you vote:

  • Drivers license
  • School district or postsecondary education photo identification
  • Tribal photo identification
  • Current utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, notice of confirmation of voter registration, government check, or other government document that shows your name and current address

What time are the polls open? 7:00 am to 8:00 pm for most locations. For smaller polling locations, the hours may be noon to 8:00 pm. Check here to confirm the hours for your polling place.

New Jersey

What time are the polls open? 6:00 am to 8:00 pm

Do I need to show identification at the polls? You do not need to show ID in New Jersey when you vote unless you are a first-time voter and you did not include your driver license number or social security number on your voter registration form.

New Mexico

South Dakota

What time are the polls open? 7:00 am to 7:00 pm

Do I need to show identification at the polls? You must provide one of the following forms of photo ID when you vote:

  • South Dakota driver’s license or nondriver ID card
  • US passport
  • photo ID issued by an agency of the US government
  • tribal photo ID card
  • student photo ID card issued by an accredited South Dakota school
  • You can also sign an affidavit, containing your name, address, and signature, in lieu of ID.
