Here are some gifts from ParentsTogether to make your New Year bright!

With your help, the ParentsTogether community accomplished so much in 2024! Alongside our inspiring network of parents and advocates, we have secured some huge victories for families and kids. Here’s what we accomplished together this year—

  • We stood up to Big Tech and demanded online safety for kids—ParentsTogether staff and parent advocates gathered alongside our partners at Heat Initiative and Mothers Against Media Addiction at the Apple Store in Grand Central Station to demand that Apple make their products safer for kids. We were joined by the Resistance Revival Chorus for a holiday-themed “Carol for Child Safety,” asking Apple for stronger parental controls and safeguards for kids using their devices.
  • We mobilized parents against the Kroger-Albertsons merger—ParentsTogether mobilized 30,000 parents to sign petitions and rally at the Federal Trade Commission headquarters to make their voices heard about this harmful merger that would increase grocery prices. And we won the fight—the merger was just blocked in federal court.
  • We launched a podcast—Our new podcast Power to the Parents connects parents and caregivers to the incredible power they have to create a better world for their children. Our Executive Director, Ailen Arreaza, talks to regular parents who’ve done amazing things to ensure a safer, brighter future for kids. Through thought-provoking interviews and candid discussions, we learn how these remarkable individuals have addressed vital issues and made a difference in their communities. By exploring activism through the lens of parenting, it examines how simply being a parent can be a superpower.
  • We pushed the Senate to pass KOSA—A groundbreaking online safety bill passed the Senate under relentless pressure from ParentsTogether and our members. The Kids Online Safety Act aims to establish guidelines to protect children from harmful material on social media platforms, and regulate design features that make these platforms addictive.
  • We brought online safety issues to the national media spotlight—Our dedicated staff and incredible parent advocates spoke to news outlets about the importance of regulating Big Tech companies to make their platforms safer for kids.
  • We went to the White House to share our members’ vision for K-12 education—We gathered feedback from our community of parents and caregivers and shared what we learned on a trip to the White House to advocate for K-12 education with our country’s leaders.

None of these victories would have happened without you. To say thank you for being here and helping us make these huge advancements for families, we have some gifts for you! We hope they help make your New Year even brighter.
